I just turned 48 and some of my earliest memories from my childhood are of my wee da cooking up a big fry on Sunday mornings for the family with goods from But 'n' Ben. It was always my favorite meal of the week. I moved out of Scarborough in ... 2005 but have continued making the trek on a semi-regular basis to pick up potato scones, black pudding, sausages and steak & onion pies. My dad used to take us here as kids - best potato scones in the city. Still as good as it was 20 years ago!!

Staff was not very accommodating, no clear pricing, asked for cooking directions and never received any, pie crust not very good. Cashier was flirting with my spouse infront of me.

But 'N' Ben Bakery did a wonderful job of catering the desserts for my father's celebration of life on Nov 18, 2023. I live in Atlanta so I had to make arrangements from afar. The order was delivered on time and with great care. They were able to ... provide miniature versions of all of my Dad's favorites, and they were every bit as delicious as I remember them to be! U will find different kinds of Scottish pastries, sweets, and sausages here. We wanted to try all, and the lady was kind enough to label each pie for us. We will try the sausages next time!
