Herongate Barn Dinner Theatre - Pickering, Ontario

2-hour buffet style meal followed by 2-hour live stage performance, situated in a converted barn full of old, rustic charm. When we visited during March Break 2023, bread and salad were brought to our table and staff served the main courses at the kitchen counter; a good bar menu ... is available. Food was all prepared on-site; home style cooking and very delicious. There is live piano, guitar and singing performance. Theatre is on the second floor (stair access) and sits up to about 100 people. We enjoyed the Savannah Sipping Society very much. All actresses performed with great humour, passion and attention to details. My 8-year-old watched the entire show without complain and rated it one of his top favourite places. Fantastic dinner at Herongate last night to see The Odd Couple. All COVID-19 safety protocols were in place and we felt very safe. Dinner was delicious and the staff and actors were amazing! This past weekend, I married my best friend at Herongate Barn. It was a wedding celebration to remember! Steve and Ann are absolutely incredible people and are very passionate about their little piece of Heaven on Earth. Steve was very helpful in making sure that everything was planned, organized and executed leading ... up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding. Every detail including the little ones were taken care of without any hesitation. The food was out of this world, the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The venue itself was breathtaking. Fields full of fall colours, sky that went on for miles and a very welcoming atmosphere. The outdoor ceremony space was absolutely beautiful and will forever be etched in our minds. Herongate went over and above our expectations. This will be an event in time that will be remembered as the best. The most amazing staff we have ever met! We had our wedding there and it was the most amazing experience! They helped with decorations, made our meal plan (which was so freaking good), helped with recommendations and went out of their way to make sure our day was amazing. This place is so unique and great! The food was fantastic, i really loved the salads and soup. The barn has been converted from an old cow barn into a beautiful really neat dining room and the amphitheatre is above you in the old hay loft. The show was really ... really good.
