Dairy Queen - Peterborough, Ontario

We just had an early supper at the DQ on Chemong Road. Kaitlyn was our server - I hope I have spelled her name correctly - apologies if not. This location is very clean - the food was GREAT - fast and hot and yummy - but ... the best part of the experience was Kaitlyn! We had sooooo many questions for her, and special requests, and we went back up to the counter for various reasons at least a couple or five times - we really were quite needy lol. Kaitlyn was sooooo polite and kind and professional and fun! She works extremely hard, and she made our meal out that much better because of her attitude and her kindness. The manager was there - another GEM - super nice and kind and I saw her being so attentive to her young staff - she's the epitome of a GREAT manager - works really hard - pays attention to everything and supports her staff. This DQ is a WONDERFUL ambassador for the DQ brand!! Every employee we saw was smiling and they all seemed to be such a great team. Thank you for providing such fabulous customer service - we really appreciated it!! My sister and I went through the drive through and ordered 2 blizzards. One was mint Oreo. Everything was fine and we parked until we realized they gave us regular Oreo. No big deal, mistakes happen. So we go back in the drive through to exchange it and the girl ... (who was a younger girl) said absolutely and so sorry about that so everything was good. We go up to the window and the manager with glasses or supervisor I’m guessing opened the window and said with an attitude “you guys didn’t say mint Oreo, that’s why we made it regular.” I absolutely said mint Oreo because it’s a regular we order and my sister doesn’t like regular Oreo so why would I say regular Oreo? Anyways I said “no we said mint Oreo” and she continued to give me attitude and tell me I was wrong and said after rolling her eyes at me “it’s being remade anyways”. I said “you know what? I’m good thanks.” And left and wasted $5 because I don’t want anything from someone who is so rude and gave me attitude like a high school student. I won’t be returning back as long as she’s there. Our 2 year olds were here last night and after having their first ice cream cones they were (of course) full of energy. There was only one other friendly couple there, so the kids ran around and had fun. The staff was so awesome and were very kind to the ... kids. We were so grateful for them and it was nice to not have to worry about being judged for high energy kids. Read more

I just spent $15 in a 4 piece chicken bucket with onion rings instead of fried. I got 10 rings and 4 tiny shriveled up chicken "strips" the size of my pinky finger, and I have tiny hands. Dry, shriveled chicken. They charge $2.50 a piece for something the size ... of my pinky finger. Unbelievable!! Never, ever again!!! Read more

I love how filling from this strawberry sundae. I hope every other locations prepare it this way. In many occasion, staff made it so small and nearly I request them to weight the serving.
