Stop by East City Coffee Shop! Update: I had no idea that Alban served soup and it was delicious! A Sweet Potato Coconut Curry blend. My favourite! Update: Brunchin on a long weekend! I didn't really like the Reuben Sandwich, I just wanted to give it a try, but I know that the other menu items smell like they taste very good. Never had the Reuben before that's why. We have eaten here many times over the years. Loved it when the Mom and Dad ran it, love it now. Husband loves the huge breakfast plate. I can't eat that much. I’ve been living in Peterborough for years and have heard nothing but good things about this shop. I have friends that come in from Lakefield just to have breakfast here. I finally decided to come out and see what the hype was all about. I honestly can’t even say much ... but WOW! The customer service is truly exceptional! It’s usually busy with the shop being open for prime breakfast time but you don’t necessarily feel it. The staff is so welcoming and take the initiative to make you feel like your apart of their family. The food is just amazing and the homefries are literally the best in town. This is my new breakfast spot. I’m so mad I didn’t come here earlier but I’m beyond happy to have a gem like this in town. Read more

1st visit to this dinner. It is an open kitchen dinner with a nostalgic feel complete with a old time cash register. Yes it is cash only. The breakfast special was tasty.
