Ricky’s All Day Grill - Peterborough, Ontario

Stopped here an hour before closing on the way home from the Kawarthas. It wasn't very busy, but the hostess welcomed us warmly and had us seated with drinks in short order. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak and a burger. Wow. The best of both we have ever had. Tasted ... great, filling, sides of gravy and au jus with fries were fantastic. Cheap local Public House pints ($5) and endless diet coke. It came fast and was honestly the best sandwich I've had in a long time. The server (Mellissa) was so nice and chatted with us about the establishments history when asked, our travels, and her time working there. I asked her to please tell the chef how much we liked the food and she smiled so genuine. More places need to be like this. I also noted the classics menu which was every comfort food I grew up with. Reception was less than welcoming. Three employees were running around solving some issue and ignored us standing in front of them. Food was good. No better than average. Price was also average. It was fine, however probably would not rush back.

Stopped in for lunch with my kids. My daughter had the kids burger, I had the Califresh Salad, and my son had Prawn Fettuccine Alfredo. Service was prompt and very friendly, the food was fabulous! Great food, friendly staff and a nice patio and back room for group functions. Will definitely be back!

I ordered a well done steak using skip the dishes and when it got here the steak was bright red. It was at the most generous rare but thats nowhere close to what I ordered. Skip the dishes was great and gave me a credit but I am never ordering ... from here again Read more
