A&W - Peterborough, Ontario

I ordered 2 meals and an iced coffee. I expect some ice, but for the price I expect more coffee because over half of the cup was ice. Very disappointing to have spent so much for nothing.

What a nice location in Peterborough! Super friendly staff and yummy food. We dined in, so our drinks were in frosty mugs!! And our lunch was brought to us, what a treat! Next time I am in Peterborough will definitely stop here again. Thank you for a great experience.

The pleasant cashier took my order accurately as well as offered me any extras I might enjoy to enhance my selections. The food itself was fresh and hot and the usual great taste.

Was served this raw chicken here last night. (Excuse the paint under my fingernails 😭) Went back to get a refund and was met with a plethora of excuses. The employee first said, "maybe the oil wasn't hot enough". She offered to remake the meal but I needed to ... get to work and just wanted my $18.50 back. She said she couldn't give me a refund because her supervisor wasn't in. I asked when the supervisor is in next because this is serious and I could get really sick. She smiled and shook her head and said noooo, nooo. Started to say how she didn't have a code for a refund again so I asked again when the supervisor was in. She hesitantly gave me an hour estimate in the morning. When I got back to work my manager advised me to go back and get a receipt from them. So I went back to get a receipt with an Indian coworker/friend of mine. When I asked the employee for a copy of my receipt she said they were cleaning and had thrown out the receipts until my coworker poked her head forward and said, "you can print one out" Then almost instantly she said okay I'll try and got it immediately. We both came back in the morning and the employee continued to give excuses saying, "I served 10 chickens last night and you're the only person to come back". Like?? Okay?? Anyway thankfully the manager came in shortly after and was super helpful and kind!! Helped sort things out and did her best to accommodate. Gave me a refund and still offered a remake of the meal. They messed up everything. The root beer was watered down to the point of tasting like club soda and the fries were stale. When A&W fries are fresh they are objectively the best in fast food. Instead of holding the ketchup off of one burger, none of them had ketchup ... and there was almost no mustard either. My husband took a big bite and didn't get any condiments. How can you get every part of a meal wrong? 3 times in a row? Abysmal. Edit: After finding our entire meal was wrong my husband called to get it set right, left his phone number, the order number, what had happened. No one has yet to respond to him. Not only will they take your money and give you something you did not ask for, they are entirely unwilling to rectify the situation. Read more
