We were disappointed with our meal. We had a party of six and three of us had a burnt hamburger. There was no offer to replace the burger, no offer to take a bit off the price, or bring a dessert or something else to make up for it. Perhaps ... because they are closing down next month they aren't worried about customer satisfaction or quality of product. Food was good other than over cooking my steak sandwich but it still tasted really good. The fish and chips was awesome, great flavour and good size pieces. The house vinigerette dressing for the garden salad was tasty and the salad was fresh. Our server was pleasant. ... Sorry, folks, but while the food was good, there are countless options for good food in Penticton. The service was atrocious. I am not accustomed to a wait of 90 minutes from arrival until the food is in front of me. To compound the issue, the manager offered excuses about ... staff shortages. Excuse me, but they accepted our reservation for 25 people, and don't have enough staff to handle the business? Why is this my problem when there are many other places nearby? This was my third restaurant in three days. The others were fabulous in all regards. Oh, and to make it even worse, the manager argued with me on the way out, stating that most of the others were happy and would return next year. I guess they don get it....most retirees don't like confrontation, they just won't come back next time. Read more

Absolutely rude. We stayed at the connecting hotel and when we went to supper they said that they had a table of 16 and we wouldn't be helped for over a half hour. Most of the other tables were empty and they had ample servers so we asked why and ... they said that they couldn't handle anymore people because of the big group that had just arrived. I heard that the food was great, but we would never know since they refused us service. I feel bad for the servers who lost out on major tips from us and whomever else that may have tried to eat there. For a resort city full of restaurants, it seems like a pretty bad practice since there are a ton more options just a block away. I will never ever go back there. Read more
