Wow! This place is fantastic! Literally THE best sandwitch I have ever had; the meat was incredible, the cheese was lovely and the bun was perfection! Really delicious gourmet toppings and fresh crispy lettuce. If this is any indication of how much I love this place - I'm not going out to BC until September and am already thinking of what sandwich I'll be getting and how many I'll be taking for the drive home. My go-to order is the 4 meat & 1 cheese ... with hot mustard. I don't have a preference as the staff know the best combos so whatever happens happens. The way they construct the sandwich anything that could potentially make the buns soggy goes inside the meat so they actually keep really well - which is why we end up bringing 4-6 home. I recently visited Il Vecchio Delicatessen for the first time, and I must say, it was a delightful experience overall. The staff greeted me warmly, and their helpfulness added to the welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. The ingredients used were exceptionally fresh, making each bite ... of my sandwich a burst of flavors. The sandwich itself was hearty, and the bun was wonderfully fresh, adding to the overall satisfaction of the meal. However, there were a couple of aspects that could be improved upon. Firstly, the establishment only accepts cash, which can be quite inconvenient in today's predominantly cashless society. It would be beneficial for them to consider alternative payment methods to cater to a wider range of customers. Additionally, I found the price of the 500 ml chocolate milk to be a tad steep at $2.40. While the quality was good, the pricing could be more competitive compared to similar offerings in the area. Despite these minor points, my experience at Il Vecchio Delicatessen was positive, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for fresh and delicious deli-style food. Ummm, no! Prices are extreme for what u get. We were trying to decide what to order & guy doing our order was impatient & wanted us to hurry & decide. We decided on 2 meats & and cheese, & he was using register then without gloves finishing ... another order.(touching food) I kindly asked that he wash his hands before handling our food, to which I was given smirks from ALL staff. NONE were wearing gloves while handling anyone's orders. Gross! Staff really grumpy. When we opened sandwiches, we noticed they were filled with lettuce to bulk them up & only 4 THIN slices of meat per sandwich. The cost of a sandwich is $8.50 WAY TO MUCH for a bun filled with lettuce & a few pieces of meat & a cheese. They only accept cash as well. We won't be back! Read more
