Isshin Sushi Bar and Asian Dining - Penticton, British Columbia

We were driving back to Vancouver after a mini vacation in Westbridge and like clock work I had a craving for sushi. Decided to try this restaurant out and used their online ordering system. We ordered a spicy tuna cone, sashimi, chicken teriyaki roll and one other roll that I can't ... recall the name of. Our order was ready on time, and a quick transaction with a courteous employee. The rolls and cone were out of this world, with a different spin then I'm use to here in Vancouver. No negatives other then pricing, but let's be honest where can you go now a days for an inexpensive meal. Will definitely be back! Read more

As first time in Penticton, this place was recommended by friends. We went there as family friends with total of 14 persons, and they accommodated us nicely and accurately. Isshin is the best Japanese restaurant ever in town. Lots of variations and all tasty food, you could tell they are using fresh ingredients. Great service and all staff are accommodating. Went for a Sunday family lunch. We ordered the veggie/prawn tempura, chicken kaarage, taoyki, kids beef teryaki and the pork tonkatsu ramen w the spicy chili oil addon w a pineapple express cocktail. Everything was delicious, the food came out quick, my cocktail did not come out quick but it ... was a proper cocktail. The ramen was really good but the spicy chili oil was very mild, like a 1/10 on the spice scale. It seemed kind of dull, dark and boring in there for a sushi bar. Totally would come back. Read more

I did both dine-in and take-out at different days and both experiences were great. They use different sauce rather than spicy mayo for spicy rolls and I loved it. Very flavorful.
