New Pho Bo Ga La - Ottawa, Ontario

The pho is pretty standard, tastes authentic. The most memorable were the chilli sauces (the left one tasted like hebihiam, the right one was slightly sour and sweet) which made the meal 100x better! Went here for Saturday lunch my friend and I got two small beef pho, iced coffee with condensed milk, shrimp rice wraps and the green papaya salad. Everything was very tasty and fresh. They give you a big plate of bean sprouts, mint, thai basil and lime on the side ... for the soup. Very flavourful broth, everything was prepared very quickly. Ordered on UberEats. I've been searching for a decent pho place since I moved here two years ago and I've finally hit something that will do. For once I only needed to add a bit of white pepper, usually I'd have to add plenty of msg and salt to other places' pho. The ... portioning was perfect. It was all well packaged with plenty of utensils, sauce and other goodies. The broth was very beef forward but still carried a nice herbal presence. Been a comfort food spot for years. Pho always tastes great and so does all their other food items. Depending on when you go, can get very busy and packed. Service is always fast and efficient. Been coming here for years, there is the originally Pho Bo Ga La, this is the second location. Inside, seating along the wall, pictures all over. It’s exactly what you expect, get in, they seat you, you write down your order on paper and shortly after your food will ... arrive. Complimentary tea& mung bean sprouts are provided. Had to come back for their Thai soup (S11), let me tell you I crave this soup. It’s perfectly spicy served with muscles and Shrimp. Served with noodles, lemon and herbs. It is oozing with flavour. It will warm you up from within. The spring rolls are also tasty, the sauce they serve it with is delicious.
