This is Ottawa’s best hidden gem, if I do say so myself. If you love Vietnamese food, then this is your place. The interior took me by surprise, as I was not expecting it to look this cute, based on it being a rather hidden noodle spot on Merivale. There ... is lots of seating available. Our server was very, very sweet and the service was very fast. The portion sizes are huge, so make sure to go there hungry. The prices are great for the quality and the serving. Read more
This place is great. In the pictures is 2 rice dishes, they each come with a bowl of broth which is not mentioned in the description. This is an excellent suprise as it complements the dish so well. The portions are really good and appropriate for their price. The food tastes ... great too. The meats taste freshly grilled and the veggies are crisp and fresh. My mango boba shake was great as well. Food was served very quickly and didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. Overall a very expirence that is nessacary to enjoy if your in the area. Read more
Nice decor inside.Spring rolls are large and tasty. Fish sauce is best I have tasted. We had the noodle bowl.with spring rolls ( comes with 3).and added tofu. Tofu was lightly fried and really good. I had the wrap yourself rolls.with beef. This is big enough for two people. Everything ... tasted great. Service was excellent. I recommend this spot foe fantastic Vietnamese food. Read more
I give them credit for including a soup with their rice dish, for which I've only known one other Vietnamese restaurant in Ottawa to have done this. No dressing on the salad though. Big portions, but what's the point when the quality wasn't there? The beef was tough and ... dry, and parts of the rice was mushy and other parts hard. The chern fun was fine, but pretty pricey at 10 bucks. Read more
First time going to Noodle House and here's my review: 1. The atmosphere is too dark. Despite a few hanging lights, the place is poorly lit. The closed curtains didn't help, especially since it was still daylight outside after 7pm. 2. We sat at our table for over 15 minutes without receiving a ... menu. It wasn't busy, and there were three staff members working. We felt very ignored but decided to stay and give them a chance. 3. The food was okay, with decent portions, but the flavor was just average. We've been to many other Vietnamese restaurants, so this isn't a biased opinion due to the slow service. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend returning. Read more
