My husband and I were very happy with the vegan gluten free pizza special. The crust was a wonderful texture and the toppings and sauce were very flavourful. So very good. Lovely location in Ottawa. Easy to walk to or drive to. And the food was perfect. I have a few allergies and my friend cannot eat anything with gluten. We were both happy, well feed and want to go back there more. As were our husbands, who ... are both usually happier with a hunk of meat on their plates. Crowd pleaser for sure. The selection was great and I hear the items are always changing so you can never get bored. Each item had it's very own ingredient list, which also would be extra helpful to picky eaters. We tried The Table on our last day before heading back. We have always had the struggle to find good food in Ottawa restaurants, except for breakfast, and The Table continued the tradition. Food: They do have a wide buffet spread and some quite interesting things. However, they have overused Tofu to ... the extent that your plate looked pretty much monotonous, especially for the main course items. I am not sure if this was a just one-day thing or a norm. Most of the items didn't really taste well, except for the patties and corn rice. In terms of dessert, there were some good options and I did like raw blueberry balls and the cake. Overall, some good desserts and salads but would have loved to have some variety in the main course - vegan doesn't mean just Tofu. Ambiance: Quite bright (natural sunlight) with large seating space. The place was not crowded when we visited, so we did have options to choose from. Very traditional restauranty ambiance. There is a small section from where you can pick some packed stuff as well - prepared food, spices etc. Staff: It is pretty much self-serve, so there isn't much staff interaction, except for the payment part. Their replenishment rate was good - hardly any vessel empty. They charge on the basis of plate weight which is quite interesting. Unfortunately, they were out of power when we visited so instead of by weight, we just paid up front. The gentleman was very friendly and courteous. It is a great place. Excellent food and attention from the owners. The price is right. You have to serve from the buffet then weight your plate. Most of the options are vegan, which is great!

Tasty and amazingly peaceful atmosphere. Someone explained the basis of the food and this restaurant before we ate anything. It was really quick and informative. Filling food and wonderful all-round. Even has a dessert bar
