Must shout out Orchid Sushi (on laurie w.). Used to go there a lot when I worked downtown. Missed it and went back tonight. Honestly the BEST sushi ever. Anywhere. Simply amazing! They were swamped and the order took a longer than ... I'd hoped but it was worth the wait. As far as sushi goes it's within the price point you'd expect. Service was quick and courteous although it's kind of tough to give an honest rating because it was a quick transaction. Food arrived quickly and it was absolutely delicious. Nice little sushi restaurant it was well worth the money.

Everything was great about this place for the four of us that went on a Tuesday evening. The service was nice and the food came in a decent amount of time. The price was okay considering the quality of our food and we overall had a great experience dining outside ... at this restaurant. It’s a great Japanese sushi place in downtown area! I don’t like raw sushi, so ordered a cooked one- Dragon Eye and I loved it! I dinned outside where they have set of tables and chairs on a patio outside the restaurant. It was cozy and quite! They have different ... varieties of sushis and it took them 15 minutes to get my orders ready. The portion that I get for one plate was filling, and the price I paid was very convenient. The staff were nice and respectful. The servant helped me to pick up a good option and I didn’t regret to go with his recommendation. Our dinner here sadly didn’t meet our expectations. The rolls and sashimi were decent. I liked how thick the sashimis were. But I don’t think the quality and the size were proportional to the price. We ordered a poke bowl as the second time The miso soup was very bland, almost watery. The female server ... wasn’t so attentive. She wasn’t rude or anything of sort, but she rarely visited us to take our orders, and when she did come to take our second order, she didn’t bother to take the huge stacked dishes off our table. So later when the poke bowl did come, we had few empty dishes blocking our way while eating the bowl. I would kindly suggest more employee training. Read more
