The service is amazing but this is the thinnest piece of sushi I’ve ever been served. If you’re gonna charge $15-20 for a 6-piece maki roll, at least make the portions worth it. I paid way more than I usually do at sushi restaurants and I left still hungry.
Great food with beautiful atmosphere. The service is fast and professional. Food was 5 stars. I recommend reserving a day in advance if you plan to go on Friday or Saturday.
Kiko has always been our favourite Japanese sushi restaurant in Ottawa. It's a classy, nicely decorated restaurant with fresh food and sushi, served on unique dinnerware. Rolls are freshly made by itamaes behind the counter. Usually I order tea, and either two types of sushi, or one and udon noodles ... stir fried (beef Udon shown in photo). Their Signature Rolls are fantastic, and my favourites are Mango Paradise, Green River (shown in photo), and Cherry Blossom. Service is prompt, friendly, not in your face...what you would expect for good service. Parking is available on street, in the building indoor parking lot (fee), or city parking lot just north of the Queensway on Preston (free weeknights. Read more
Killer Sushi Spot You Gotta Try Okay folks, listen up. I just hit up this sushi joint on Preston and it completely blew my mind. I'm talkin' PRISTINE fish and epic rolls that will have your tastebuds doin' backflips. We're talkin' fresh, melt-in-your-mouth good. The vibe, straight fire and the staff, ... so on point I couldn't even finish a sip of green tea before they swooped in to top me off. Serious ninja skills. Overall, this place is killin' it on all fronts. From the food to the feel, it's an 11 outta 10 experience that won't break the bank. Do yourself the ultimate solid and book yourself a table asap. You can thank me later! Read more
Some of the best sushi in Ottawa, great service, good atmosphere, decent sized boats and excellent tempura. Prices are also atmospheric if you are comparing it to sushi places in Vancouver or Toronto. That being said - for the quality the prices aren't worse than their local Ottawa ... competition.
