The sushi was just not good and the whole place smelled like mildew. The fish did not seem fresh and their choice of mayo was questionable to say the least. The restaurant was so dingy and the bathrooms are in dire need of a renovation if not at the very ... least some paint. We explained to the server that the food was just not good yet she still charged us for the pieces we didn’t finish. I truly would not recommend coming here. for me this is the worst establishment in Ottawa! service, serving, food.... the feeling that you owe them, and not they must accept and serve you... the establishment is open according to the schedule until 10, we came at exactly 9, or even a couple of minutes earlier. ... they started setting conditions for us from the door (surprised, this was the first time in my life such an Asian reception) and the truth was alarming ... but we were very tired and hungry, my husband did not want to go anywhere else ... at first they forgot to bring us a menu but did not forget to ask when we will order, while counting the minutes until the kitchen closes ;) we ordered 5 types of rolls, salad and noodles with seafood! almost all rolls with the same filling (crab stick with cucumber) under different entourage of sauces, types of cucumber cutting and sprinkles... the salad was even more strange called "Crab"! one crab stick, maybe not even whole... broken into three pieces, a couple of lettuce leaves, a piece of tomato and sauce (I think it was from leftover vegetables. the size of half a bowl, well, very miniature)... and noodles in addition with with so much glutamate and salt that the aftertaste lasts for three hours... I also fed the child with all this, because she had been dreaming about sushi for a long time 🤢 now I'm nervous... well, the observation of all the staff as we eat it surpassed everything! it reminded me of movies about prisons with their guards from every corner. .. the feeling that if we don't eat it and get out of here as soon as possible, we will be left in slavery or worse. I was scared and left the tip 🤑to return to God's world... the waitress told us how tired they were and to clean up after us, but for some reason she didn't ask how much we worked and whether we were tired?! we flew out of this room, although at first glance I liked the place... my husband is very undemanding, but he also noted that unpleasant feelings remained from everything... and this happened to us for the first time in our life😔 I hope there will be no poisoning 🙏 Read more

I have never eaten in here but have always done take out because of how their party platters have been priced affordably. Good sushi for great value. Do not expect that it will blow your mind but it does fill that sushi craving. Good food for great value. Ordered from Skip, ordered all vegetarian items, including the Avocado Pizza. Upon receiving the order, we noticed that the Avocado Pizza had orange balls on them, and having never seen this before anywhere that we have ordered this item, we called to ask what it might be. The lady on ... the phone confirmed our concern, it is FISH EGGS! I went back and checked BOTH Skip the Dishes, AND Uber Eats, and guess what? NEITHER platform have any mention of FISH EGGS on ANY of their pizzas except their Tar-Tar Pizza! I think it is absolutely ridiculous and insane to me that you can put something, especially something that is a commonly known major allergy to an item on your menu without any notice or information indicating such?! So upset and disappointed in this, we cannot eat this item clearly. What a waste. Read more

Xmas 2023: very good selection of sushi everything is yummy! $30 for limited selection dinner. Immediately the ginger that comes with the wasabi was old, dry and inedible. Ambiance is nice, it was so much better here 5+ years ago. I doubt I’ll go back even I love sushi. I go once a year ... or less just to hope they get better but I’m always disappointed. The floors are so greasy you have to be careful walking to the washrooms and back to your table. The iPad and robot server is disgusting and the whole place needs a deep cleaning. I have to say this place is usually packed. It wouldn’t be if it was in Japan as everything there is incredibly immaculate and clean. Read more
