Tried Smoked Duck sandwich and Cubano bowl. Nice smoky flavour for sure. Sandwich has a rustic in-house bread, not overly sauced for beautiful meaty taste. Bowl has Brussels sprout, coleslaw and potato. Veggies are nicely roasted too. Everything is just right.

The smoked brisket sandwich is absolutely spectacular. The brisket is tender, smokey, and has a slight savoury bitterness from the bark. Pickles are perfect to balance out the fattiness of the meat. Stopped by meat press for lunch. Takeout and dine-in available with seating for about 20. You order your food before finding a table. Choice of sandwich or bowl, we ordered bowls. I’ve discovered this place recently and it makes me happy. Why? The food is delicious and all made in-house. First time around, I had the Jefferson, a melt-in-mouth sandwich of deep fried pork jowl, brisket burnt ends and sausage all smothered in barbecue sauce. Second visit (two days later) I ... had Grandma’s Pork with boudin. Delicious morsels of richly flavoured and light textured boudin with succulent pork stew on a bed of charred Brussels sprouts and golden roasted potatoes. I added a smoked meat poutine too which had thin crispy fries and cheese that stretch when you pull away from the plate. But that smoked meat!
