John’s Family Diner - Ottawa, Ontario

Had a breakfast club and it was amazing. My wife had the traditional breakfast and my daughter had the regular club. Great old school diner, great food, reasonable prices.

On a recommendation while in the NCR, I happened to drive by John's and I'm glad there was very little traffic, cause I slammed on my brakes like a super senior to find a parking spot. I marched in and found only one little 2 seater spot left for a ... Friday morning. Stunning family run joint with a lovely and efficient server who was warm and welcoming and had my order and gone! Whomever is cooking there, kudos! Perfect over medium eggs and taters. I travel there often and will do my best to come again. Well done. My fav was the hand written notes indicating where you sat at the counter and when you come up, they just know which one was yours. Old School for the win. Read more

Cozy little diner that we stop by when visiting Otto's Subaru. Breakfast was great as always. Would have enjoyed another top up on our coffee, also a little odd that the cream was poured by the server (but it was okay).

Quick and friendly service. Good prices. Very refreshing experience after visiting another diner that starts with Z. The food was tasty and there was just enough of it to properly fuel my morning. I’ll be back! Thanks for breakfast!

Straight forward diner with speedy and attentive service. Food arrived quickly and the early bird special is very reasonably priced. Current COVID set up was on the patio and sidewalk. Seems like they have lots of regulars and rightly so. Would recommend.
