Dagwoods - Ottawa, Ontario

No disrespect to the franchise owners but for a chain called “Dagwoods” named after a style of sandwich from a comic designed to be “massive”, the food here is over priced for the size of the sandwiches. I paid about $8.50 for a sadwhich is the day which was made ... in a tiny baggette with a 4-5 thin slices of the meats of choice. The only benefit is it’s cut and made fresh in front of you. Still, Very overpriced. A “real” Dagwood style sandwhich can be picked up for less than 1/2 price at Sobey’s across the street. Made fresh everyday in store. Seen in photos (compared to other photos posted by other reviewers) Would be willing to give these guys another chance if franchise makes changes to sandwhich ingredient/sizes or prices. Read more

Freshly made sandwich with in-store baked bread and ham sliced right before the sandwich is made. Chilli was the best. Busy place for grabbing a bite for lunch. Highly recommend.

Great sub, sauce and the owner and his staff were very friendly and sociable. My only qualm is that they used the real sub type bread and not the Subway styled overly large North American sized portion. That's not to say that they don't pack it well (It's quite filling, ... actually), I just wanted more at the end because it was so good haha. Cheers and hope to be eating there again sometime. The employees here are always super friendly and ofcourse the food is freaking amazing! Gino with Dagwood sauce is my go to 😊

The sandwich was quite good and the price was not bad at all. The cheese and the cold meat was cut out fresh when you order the sandwich.
