Tommy’s - Ottawa, Ontario

Not what you would expect looking at the outside but great neighborhood bar and restaurant. Food is excellent, especially the house pizza. Delicious. Fast friendly service with decent prices. Will h Go back next time I'm in the Ottawa area.

It's not much to look at, but I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Service was good, but they did take a bit to long to come back and ask if the food was good. Our whole family loved this place. The food came fast and it was delicious. My children had the lasagna and the chicken wings. My husband and I had the club house sandwich and the sub made into a wrap. Everyone loved their meals and we all made sure to have a ... bite of everything. The service was awesome. The bathrooms were very clean, my daughter peeked in the kitchen and said it was also very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We will be going back. Read more

Terrible experience at Tommy’s! We entered with a rude warning that they will be closing soon, giving us a cold welcome to start with! While placing the order, we specifically asked and requested for no beef. However, the pasta sauce still had beef in it which we realized AFTER tasting the ... first bite. We asked for a change and decided we would rather take out now as they were in no mood to have us for dine in. We were told that they will make new pasta with no beef pasta sauce but give us the same piece of chicken parmigiana, to which we said ok as we did not want to have any more conversation with them after all this. However, when we open the box at home it had no chicken only cold pasta wrapped in tasteless pasta sauce (2nd picture). Lack of professionalism, poorest service we have ever had, below average food and arrogance to the very top as they offered no compensation for their own mistake but were persistent on having us pay for the whole thing till the very end! What a hidden gem!! Came across this place by chance...aa we were staying at the hotel beside it....and so happy we did. Food was fantastic...service was excellent...dining room is not very big..however just big enough. Also has a bar in the front.. Great place...would definitely return!
