Nice and clean park to walk around. You can sit and relax on one of the benches or by the fountain. Good place for a picnic. You can get something to eat or drink at the NCC Bistro located in the park.

We were at the Confederation Park for Norah Jones playing the Ottawa Jazz Festival. She was amazing. The venue volunteers were organized, but they can have little more paths with lights when 1000 of fans are exiting the venue - just for safety.

It is a nice place to rest if you are visiting the city. In the summer you'll find a small bisto pavilion where they serve drinks and small food dishes. Check out the statue for animals in the war.

One of the tourist parks in the heart of Ottawa. As the name suggests it it is dedicated to the creation of the Canadian confederacy. This recreative outdoor facility is well liked by tourists and locals alike. It has a number of interesting monuments including one dedicated to the animals ... used in battles. Confederation Park is an urban green space that has great wide perspectives on surrounding buildings, a number of trees that provide shade on a hot day and plenty of benches to rest your weary feet after a walk through downtown. A totem pole, a couple of monuments honoring Canadian fighters, ... namely aboriginal- and Polish-Canadians, a beautiful water fountain and a few temporary art installations round up the things to see and enjoy in this smallish but memorable public park.
