Sushi Umi - Ottawa, Ontario

This place has been my boyfriend and I’s go to spot for a few years. We never get tired of this place! It’s small, cozy and the paintings are super cute. Sometimes they play Studio Ghibli soundtracks and it’s awesome. The food is amazing, always tastes fresh. They have the best ... tempura and miso soup, and the citrus roll is to die for. Ordered the sushi & Sashimi combo via uber eat. It was very fresh, fast and yummy! I forgot to take the photo but sushi nacho was delicious and crearive!! ( sweet potato tempula top with salmon and advocate). Chris & his wife are always generous giving side dishes such as ... seaweed salad and sometime with a free drink. Sushi Umi A very friendly and welcoming sushi restaurant tucked away on wellington west. The owner was helpful in recommendations, food was pretty good, not entirely the best I have had in ottawa but still pretty awesome. Place is kinda small and designed for takeout mostly, pretty plain atmosphere makes no real note ... worthy mentions. My main issue was price.. 4 Negiri, 24 Maki pieces and a miso soup for 65$. Don't let the size of this little place fool you: the food here is delicious, including some of the more creative rolls (e.g.: citrus roll and Wellington roll were both amazing)!
