We had problems with a reservation at a different hotel and ended up staying here very last minute. The service from Gina and the rest of the team was exceptional. The room was old, but very clean. Kitchen had all the basic items needed to cook. Multiple charging stations in ... the garage. I would recommend! Read more
Excellent location, you can walk to everything from here. There's local pubs and brunch spots right in front of the restaurant. The rooms are very spacious. I love having a full kitchen as you can shop at local grocery stores and make food in the unit while you are in ... town to save money instead of eating out. The mattress was very comfortable, balcony was nice and clean. Air conditioning was strong and not too loud. It seems like a well run place and I find the building to be clean and orderly. I would stay here again. Only thing I wish is for them to find ways to maybe bring prices down a bit or offer a cheaper room? There's a real market for nice rooms in well run hotels that are more affordable. I love the suite size and everything but I'd love to have a much more affordable and smaller room option as well to save money. This is missing in many major cities. AirBnB is an option but not something I want to support. Hotels can step up to offer a variety of rooming options. Read more
Stayed for 2 nights in May 2024. PRO: Location is really great! Everything is in walking distance. There is even a grocery store Farm Boy a block away, so you can buy a cooked meal there, or dine out. Parliament Hill is in 15 min walk distance. I loved a swimming pool ... with a Jacuzzi and sauna, and pool towels. Just ask for a pool card at the reception. There is even a private patio with plastic tables and chairs, as well as lounge chairs, which you can access from the pool, and it's a nice touch if your stay is in summer. Room was clean, and I enjoyed my stay. CON: What I didn't like was that everything could use an upgrade! 1. Furniture is very old. 2. TV, carpet, bathtub, toilet, sinks, closet doors, even a towel holder was so old, looked like older than me, and I am 50 :( 3. Chairs on my balcony was very dirty, I couldn't use it at all. 4. There was no plates, glasses and mugs in my room, had to come to get it myself. 5. Kitchen sink was staffed and water barely got through. 6. Dishwasher could use some cleaning (even thou I didn't use it), better yet, it could be replaced as it was old too. It's not a vintage boutique hotel, they pretend to be a modern facility, so make some upgrade to reflect the current century. Read more
Staying at Cartier Place Suite Hotel offered a rewarding experience, primarily due to its prime location just a half block from the vibrant Elgin Street, renowned for its plethora of dining options. This accessibility is further enhanced by the hotel's commitment to being wheelchair-friendly, ensuring all guests experience comfort and ... convenience throughout their stay. The accommodations, albeit showing signs of age in their decor, impressed with their generous space and impeccable cleanliness—a testament to the diligent upkeep and attention to detail of the housekeeping staff. What truly sets this establishment apart, however, is the warmth and professionalism of the service team. Their accommodating nature and eagerness to assist made every interaction a pleasant encounter, significantly enriching the stay. Moreover, the hotel presents an excellent value proposition, striking a fine balance between quality and affordability. This aspect, combined with the aforementioned strengths, solidifies its status as a commendable choice for anyone visiting the city, whether for work or leisure. My experience was thoroughly positive, and I wholeheartedly endorse Cartier Place Suite Hotel to prospective guests seeking comfort, convenience, and exceptional service at a reasonable price. My partner and I recently stayed here for a weekend. The property was clean, staff were good to deal with and the building amenities are fantastic. The pool was clean and the area was well kept. The building is certainly older and the furnishes have not been updated for quite ... some time. However, the space and cleanliness of the rooms make this a nonissue. Also had accessible balcony in the room we stayed in with patio furniture. Great location in centretown, everything is walkable - we parked our car for the weekend and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Read more
