I had the banana milkshake, which was mostly liquid, not thick, and not blended very well. Still tasted decently enough. The service was incredibly slow for being the only customer inside. It took more than 5 minutes to make ONE milkshake. The atmosphere wasn't very impressive. One of the entrance doors was ... borded up with plywood and tin foil. I just visited this urban Indian restaurant and had a great experience. The prices were decent, and the owner of the store was so sweet. He made sure everything on the order was right. We really liked the thali; it came with naan, rice, 2 curries, yogurt, and a gulab ... jamun. The samosa chaat was good but could have been more in quantity, especially for the price. The food was not upto the mark and also the service was too slow along with below average dine in experience and inside ambiance. Customer service was also below average. We tried Paranthas which was not cooked well.

I do not normally write reviews but I had to for this gem of a restaurant. The service has always been impeccable and the food is a bucket full of flavour. Every bite hits you different. This time, my friend and I tried their new dish on the menu: Dahi Bhalle ... and it has easily become our favourite. Urban Indian Cafe’s staff, service and food never ceases to amaze me. Been meaning to try this place and man was I sorry to have not tried it sooner. The owner and I had a little talk while I waited for my Butter chicken. He told how he went from fine dining restaurants to a small place to be with family, as a ... chef I understand completely. He was very friendly and kind. Now the food, when I tasted I knew it was fine dining quality my only regret is not getting it more spicy, but you can taste the authentic Indian spices and taste from the butter chicken, the rice with a hint of coconut was amazing, fluffy, soft and paired amazing with the sauce. If anyone is looking to try a new Indian restaurant I highly recommend this place, you won't be sorry. Oh and the prices are very very reasonable. Enjoy. Read more
