Haldi - Ottawa, Ontario

Extremely delicious Indian food, definitely one of the best in Ottawa. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating too, and make visiting the restaurant a great experience every time. Whether for eat in or take out, we have never been disappointed with Haldi!

Butter chicken was good! A little on the sweeter side but yummy. Also ordered a lamb spicy dish and it was ok. The rice was good. Naan bread was pretty good. Atmosphere was a bit lacking. It was warm inside and there werent many people there. Decor was nice, service was good.

A few vegetarian options. The appetizers were quite small for the price. I liked the paneer massala the best. The gulab jamun desserts are delicious.

It was our first time at Haldi's but it won't be our last. The food was authentic Indian cuisine, fresh and flavorful. It's a small restaurant tastefully decorated. Service was great thanks to Fatima. We had chicken korma, chicken tiki masala, saag paneer and naan bread.

This gem of a place has been around for 5 years and I am ashamed to admit, this was my first visit. That said - it won’t be my last!
