Visited on a very rainy Thursday lunchtime from Kingston for our wedding anniversary. Fabulous food, wonderful service and hard as we tried, we were not given the secret recipe for the unbelievably delicious hanger steak marinade. This was an outstanding lunch! It is definitely one of my top 3 restaurants in Ottawa and I had not gone in years but after yesterday, will definitely be going more! The lunch menu special was fantastic and the mousse dessert, we could just not get enough. A lot of ... care is put into the ingredients used and marrying them together for the perfect taste and texture - overall, 10/10 recommend this place. Slow service at lunchtime does not win you points. 15 minutes seated before we could order and another 15 or more before the food arrived. The strange menu combination of entrées and a la carte was hard to understand. We decided on lobster mac n cheese and soup/salad. The mushroom ... soup didn't seem to have any mushrooms or mushroom taste according to my partner. The Mac n cheese was so salty I had to stop after 2 small bites. When I mentioned the saltiness, a replacement was immediately offered - maybe not the first complaint? This may have been taken off the bill. I didn't pay and didn't ask. Then I chose the gnocchi, which tasted less salty but was also on the high end. The gnocchi appeared more like spaetzle, but the taste was good. Selection of kraft beers was good. Waitress was friendly, just alone with 5 tables. Probably won't return, although the high end dishes look interesting for a luxury dinner. Read more

Absolutely Fantastic. It has been a while since I visited, but friends suggested it and I'm so glad that they did. All our plates were perfect. Appetizers were delicious. Mains perfectly presented and we were each in awe of the others meals. Server was friendly and helpful, knew the menu ... and the wine list. Recommendations were spot on. I'll go back more often!!! Visited tonight with our corporate group of 20+, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the dinner! We landed at this spot for dinner because they were surprisingly one of few restaurants that would accept a reservation of 20+ people on a Wednesday night. The food was delicious, portions were good, drinks were made well, ... and service was prompt. (Only downfall is that they have limited vegetarian options) Their salmon entree is a MUST-TRY! Had we not come here for tonight’s dinner, we likely wouldn’t have tried found this place… but I’d definitely recommend it! Read more
