Pogo and poutine were delicious! Atmosphere is rated lower only due to it being a chip stand, it’s a classic take out truck in parking lot, nothing wrong with that. Best food always comes from trucks lol
Was greeted with a smile upon arrival. Staff was really friendly. The food takes a reasonable amount of time since it's fresh patties and not frozen patties. The food was delicious and the fries were nice and golden which means they def do keep up with the deep fryers for ... cleaning. Seems like the fries have a little batter or something to give them a little extra crunch which was amazing. The burger was huge. Believe I paid 13.5 for a decently sized meal ( too big for me but the price point is on point for the Amount you get). Def chosing this over McDonald's anyday! Read more
I’ve come to taters many times over the years and I am always satisfied. Staff are super friendly even though they’re working in up to 30-40 degree heat in the middle of summer. Fries are crispy, delicious and perfectly salted! Portions are fantastic and well priced — for those complaining ... about prices… have you seen the price of a McDonalds combo in 2024? Nothing is cheap. This is a small business and they’ve still managed to keep their prices pretty low. Last night i paid ~$7 for a medium fry (which is a little over 1lb of fries!) — and they tend to overfill the bag. There’s lots of menu options to choose from and they’re usually pretty quick at fulfilling orders. Taters is definitely one of the best chip trucks in ottawa. Read more
Let me start by saying the hotdog was great, but if that's all I can say good, you know it's probably bad. I'm not sure in what world a family size poutine only has about 50 to 75 fries in total (I'm probably overestimating)! As you will see from my ... picture, this family size poutine is an absolute mess and looks like soup at best! Disgusting! The gravy was luke warm, the curds were the best part, but poutine requires FRENCH FRIES! When you pay extra for extra curds, it doesn't mean remove 3/4 the fries from the box just in case you were confused! We picked this place because of pictures and reviews, but let me say that this was TRASH! I don't need a weak reply either. For the love of God, just do better. The fries go in, almost to the edge of the box. Then push down on the fries with a stack of curds, and then add gravy. Sadly, the fact that someone needs to tell you how to do this job correctly is embarrassing! My sister just moved to the area but we will never be back unless my daughter needs a hotdog! In fact, I suggest saving money and just opening a hotdog cart. You can go through my reviews and see, that I rarely, if ever, give a bad one but this was deplorable. I even took 18 hours to think before I wrote and it was still trash! If I didn't mention it yet, the first pictures shows a half full box of curds and gravy with about 5 fries remaining!🙄 #poutineisnotsoup Read more
Yesterday my family and I went to Taters. Both of my boys ordered a bacon poutine. Both poutine had very little gravey and one had lots of bacon and the other one had very little. My wife and I had the cheeseburger combo. The fries were hard and cold. The ... cheeseburger was thin. It was our first and last time we will be there. Read more
