Bacon is great not water injected and doesn't cook down like store stuff does. I am happy to support these guys as they make good artisanal products that may be a bit more but you are getting way more value. Amazing experience making sausages last night. Dave was an excellent instructor. You get 5lb of pork and a huge selections of condiments and spices. You will learn to get casings ready, grind the pork to make yummy fillings and then make delicious sausages.

After years of searching, today I found the ultimate Jamaican-style patties in Ottawa-Gatineau. To me, The Piggy Market (bakery, deli and craft butcher shop), located in Canada’s National Capital Region’s Westboro neighbourhood, is making Jamaica proud! Over many, years my Jamaican born family members and I have scoured Ottawa-Gatineau, Miami ... and Jamaica looking for a Jamaican-style patty that can be described as ‘nyam-ing’ perfection. The Piggy Market delivers! How do they achieve this? I believe that it’s all about their quality ingredients, mouth watering recipes, impactful blend of spices (flavourful heat) and a pastry shell that screams , “I am Jamaica Proud!” Today we visited for the first time and tried their Beef patties and Jerk Chicken patties. We’re saving our next visit for the Oxtail patties and any other patty menu items that we have yet to try. Every week The Piggy Market highlights a unique specialty patty on their menu. A really great small meat/deli shop. I took their sausage making class and it exceeded my high expectations. And I left with 18 sausages that I made myself with my seasonings and flavours! Great class! Thanks!

A really enjoyable meat/deli shop with an assortment of fresh baked goods, meats, cheese, condiments and frozen goods. They have a daily sandwich special as well. Seating and tables are available outside. I quite enjoyed my experience while there. I will be back for sure.
