This is the only DQ that I've been to that continuously charges for "extra toppings" when a substitution is requested. Ordering a strawberry cheesecake blizzard, but subbing strawberries for oreo results in an additional $1.60. Some blizzards have 3 toppings to begin with. I've had this happen for swapping chocolate ... sauce with caramel, so it's not about "premium" toppings. It's simply an unethical way of making more money. This Dairy Queen actually knows how to mix the Blizzard down to the bottom. There are only a couple of places in Ottawa that will consistently mix the toppings thoroughly. Ice cream was great, got a Oreo blizzard, fries and a hamburger. Fries were around a 5/10 if McDonald’s fries were a 10. Hamburger was beyond nasty, looks like it was toxic nuclear waste, I wouldn’t even bet $1,000 a raccoon would eat it. It was just a simple plain ... burger with ketchup, how in the world can you make it so nasty. Not even my pet dog wanted to eat it, not even joking he sniffed it and moved on determining it was not an edible food source, he does the same reaction when I drop a piece of plastic or something on the ground.
