This place was an amazing find! The selection if fantastic, though it dwindles as the day goes on as they sell out. Go before noon for best selection. The flavors are original and well done. The cake itself is moist, flavorful, and fantastic, which a lot of fancy ... cupcake places strangely miss on. The frosting is creamy and delightful. It's sweet, but not over the top. And the proportion of frosting to cake is well balanced. Tthe Vanilla has _actual_ vanilla in it. The chocolate is dark and rich. And the fruit flavors come from real fruit. So far, I've tried and loved: * Boston cream * Strawberry fields * Vanilla * Midnight Chocolate I just which this place wasn't so dangerously close to my office. It's a little _too_ convenient. Found this place while cruising through Stittsville and was very impressed with the variety or original cupcake flavours. In addition, there are vegan and gluten free cupcakes available which is a rare and delicious find. The icing on all the flavours we tried was really well done and ... not overly sweet. How do you judge a bakery? Some....by the level of customer service (and that's fair). Others, by the quality of their products. I had the pleasure of trying one of this bakeries cupcakes the other day, and I was blown away!! Not only where the variety of cupcakes professionally ... designed and constructed - they tasted amazing! The cake was moist and flavorful. The icing was delicious, sweet and abundant. These are definitely not cupcakes you want to eat with a single hand, during a business luncheon. Fork and knife are a MUST! I am excited to venture out to their bakery shop and see what other delights are in store. Remember - if you want QUALITY, be prepared to pay for it. If you want cheap, manufactured cupcakes - your local grocery store has plenty. * update * made trip out to the bakery and was met by friendly staff - for a little shop, their quality is amazing! Delicious 1/2 dozen cupcakes - $18, I could have paid half that at the grocery store and would have gotten 1/2 or less the quality. Again - you get what you pay for. The "cake" part of the cupcakes was good - the icing was not. It is overly sweet and the icing on the carrot and the red velvet cupcakes did not taste like cream cheese at all - it had an artificial tang with a bad aftertaste. Even the kids didn't ... like it - think "edible oil product". Acceptable if you are buying $1.00 cupcakes at Loblaws but not for premium $3.00 cupcakes. **Edit** After emailing with the lovely owner and trying the cupcakes a second time, I would definitely go back. It must've been a fluke and the owner discussed it with the bakers🙂 I now give 5 stars. A friend raved about the cupcakes here, and said they had gluten-free, so I ... went with her when she had to pick up a birthday cake. I picked up a few as they are peanut free also, and I have a peanut allergy so this was very exciting to me! They were a bit pricey, but a good cupcake is worth it. I always buy them from another store, and this location is much closer for me, so I was hoping this would be my new go-to place. I was so disappointed. The icing was good (very sweet..but I like that) but the chocolate cupcake had chunks of unmixed batter, and the vanilla didn't taste at all like vanilla. It wasn't a bad taste, but I wouldn't have known it was vanilla if I didn't know better. I was really shocked after my friend raved about it. Unfortunately I will have to continue to purchase my gluten free cupcakes at the store I've always gone to. I leave this review with a heavy heart, but I'm a business owner myself and I always appreciate honesty, and an opportunity to improve. Read more
