Nate’s Deli - Ottawa, Ontario

We arrived Canada Day at 11:30 for some early lunch. The rudeness and unhappiness of the wait staff was palpable. Never in my 50+ years of paying for my own meals have I ever been so disappointed in the atmosphere of the entire staff. Not one smile, heck not ... even a your welcome when thanking our server for delivering our drinks. The food was delicious maybe the best French fries I’ve ever had, for that reason alone I had to still leave a descent tip. You want a smoke meat, where else you thinking of going?!! It’s what you expect. Prices are right portions and good. The fries are darn good….poutine those up for sure! Patio is nice on a sunny day perfect for a quick stop for a bite to eat. I highly recommend.

Visit April 3, 2024 for lunch a d beverages. Grat location downtown Ottawa near the Parliament buildings. OK selection of beverages. Good food options. I had a Rueben sandwich. I wish I'd asked for more sauerkraut on it. It was good and the meat on it was served hot. It's over priced. Coleslaw (not creamy), pickle and salty french fries are included.

Homestyle deli with great food. Ample seating, very scenic as well with booths next to the window. Staff are very helpful and provided great service at such an early hour I ate. Bathroom is a little out of the way in the basement, so the smell isn’t very strong over ... there. I had the smoked salmon bagel, and the portions were at value for the price. Read more
