This dim sum restaurant located in Chinatown is not usually too busy and there is paid parking nearby but not onsite. The quality of the food is okay but a bit pricey for the quality compared to a typical Chinese restaurant. There are several vegetarian options including noodles and desserts ... available. The orders are done by choosing in advance using a menu sheet as the cart service no longer exists. The staff are friendly but service is a bit staggered. Our go-to Chinese restaurant when visiting Ottawa. We enjoyed a wide variety of dishes including General Chicken, Chinese vegetables, and beef with broccoli. The spring rolls were crisp and delicious. The Cantonese Chow Mien was especially tasty.

The Yangtze ! is a constant 5 star review!! I have been going there for 40 years🙂. Their food is authentic, fast, fresh and uncomplicated. The surroundings are always spacious and comfortable. The Food is always 100% consistent - the same — you get exactly what you came ... for. Other Dim Sum restaurants have come and gone, but the Yangtze is so well managed. Their prices are cheaper than a food court, and you can eat as little or as much as your Palate desires. Finally, I am so impressed with their business processes — their waiting staff work like an efficient team together — coming and going from your table without hesitation. Only at Yangtze do I leave a greater than 15% tip. The Front Desk personnel are professional, appropriate and customer minded always. This place is legendary! Better than Hong Kong imo. Felt like they forgot about our order. When we asked about it, our 9 plates all arrived at the same time. Not ideal when you are having Dim Sum as some dish will get cold. Anyway the food was excellent. Our table was at the end ... of the windows, like the last one. Read more

Been coming here for many years. Food is always consistent and the prices are fair. Highly recommend you make a reservation for weekend dim sum or get there at 1030am when they open to ensure that you don’t have to wait.
