Wan’s Chinese Restaurant - Ottawa, Ontario

We've been ordering from Wan's for the past 8 years. Their food is always on point however with our previous order they accidentally omitted one of the dishes from our delivery. We phoned Wan's and they were very apologetic, offering us a few different resolutions. The one ... we opted for was for them to comp the dish next time we ordered (essentially a credit). They took our phone number and said they would use that as a reference for the credit but I was a little skeptical their commitment to the comp would be remembered the next time we ordered. To their credit, the next time we ordered (about 2 months later) there was no problem at all and they were more than happy to follow through on their previous commitment. I will not darken this door step the food was nothing special, and the service was sub-par . You would think that with a lot of competition around there would be an exceptional service. I do not write posts like this to be hateful, but there was no resolve ... or contact t from said establishment. The main issue I had was that I was double charged for an order and explained that this happened and would be an easy fix with simple math . But nope i was told that I would have to contact my bank . I will take the loss so I don't have to deal with this anymore I guess the business needs the money more than I do . I just wish I could get a receipt for a charity . Read more

Did a take out order for the whole family on my wife's birthday. Got it home only to find out her dish was missing. They offered to deliver her meal, and added some extras.

We ordered the Cantonese chow mein and chicken balls. While the chow mein flavour was fine the broccoli was brown and off. The chicken balls were very over cooked. I wouldn’t recommend either of these dishes.

Wan's Chinese food has been a staple that we've loved for years!! The food is fresh, whole-food, packed with flavour. Try asking for no MSG.. you'll love it. Thanks Wan's Chinese Food!!
