Tai Ping - Ottawa, Ontario

My family has been ordering from Tai Ping since the 70's. I have eaten at many other places over the years but Tai Ping is still the best! Food has always been the best quality and taste. Staff have always been kind whether you eat in, pick ... up or get delivered. I have always stood by Tai Ping as the best Chinese food for taste, price and wonderful staff. We had great service from the owners, they were very nice, and we had great food. We stopped by before a movie and it was a great idea. The egg rolls were delicious as well. We'll be back before another movie!

This unassuming place, with its friendly and attentive service is a great find. The food, the rice, the General Tso Chicken, the vegetable stir fry and the egg rolls were wonderful. The prices - awesome as well. There will be subsequent visits.

Owner of this restaurant is extremely polite, I went to cineplex to watch a movie and was really hungry, most places were closed and so was this restaurant so I thought. The lights were on and figured would give a knock on the door, the owner happily invited me in ... and I ordered 6 egg rolls took less than 4 minutes to make, they were crunchy, tasty and very good value for the money, I snuck them in the cinema as well and enjoyed them while watching the film! Have been going here for the egg rolls since the 1970s. I have not been able to find any as good since I moved from the area in the 1980s but I buy 3 or 4 dozen every time I'm in town (about 3 times a year). They ... freeze well. The rest of the food is good, but the egg rolls are amazing. Read more
