My husband and I love ordering from this place. Food always arrives quickly (we do live pretty close though), very warm and super tasty. Everything is truly cooked to perfection in our experience. It is a little pricey but I find chinese food usually is for buying multiple dishes. We ... love the cantonese chow mein, the egg rolls and the lemon chicken especially. I called at 4:20 to gave my order for delivery. The lady mentioned they were busy and I asked if I would get it at 6pm and was told it should not be a problem. I called back at 6:10 and was informed by the same lady that my order ... was up next to be prepared. I confirmed: So after 1 hour 40 minutes of my initial call they had not even started my order? Her answer, Yep, do you still want it? What poor customer service, not even an apology. Like a had a choice with people waiting to eat. Therefore, I drove there to get my $175 order. This is not the first time, why would they not inform people, plain and simple, we can give no guarantee of the time tonight. I think Lucky Star feels like they have enough clients that they do not care. I have heard of at least two great Chinese take-outs in Orleans and will certainly give them a try. Read more

The restaurant we normally visit was closed on that day, so we decided to try a new place. Food was very expensive, the take out meal for 3 cost more than $100. Unfortunately, my husband ordered almost everything deep fried so it was a very bad experience for us. Deep fried ... shrimp and chicken were covered in THICK batter. Decided to try this place after seeing several great reviews on my Orleans Foodies group. I have to agree! Ordered online through their website for pickup an hour later and when we arrived early, they were still making my food, which means it wasn't sitting around (a good thing!). Portions were ... generous and the food was delicious, not at all greasy. The Egg Foo Yung in particular was excellent, with delicious gravy. Egg rolls were tasty too! Thanks for a great dinner!
