Brother Wu - Ottawa, Ontario

We have been enjoying Brother Wu's food and hospitality for the past years. Our favorite is the beef noodle. We think it's the best in town. The fried dumplings are also very good. The owner is a great businessman and often offers free dishes.

Delicious food. Very slow service. Took 20 min to just get water on a hot summer day when I emphasized that we were thirsty as soon as we arrived. Mu shu pork tasted very good but only came with 7 pancakes for our group of 4. What we thought was a ... thick pancake was a piece of cheesecloth, which I tried to eat! Good portion sizes. Ordered chicken fried rice and 4 mains and 4 spring rolls and we were full at the end with no leftovers. Old decor in the restaurant and there were several seemingly useless nails and screws sticking out of the wall and lots of nail holes. Gave us something to puzzle over while we waited. I am frankly surprised that this restaurant only rates a 3.3 average. We have been going there on and off for over 20 years and keep going back because the food is REALLY good and the owner and his wife are friendly and attentive. The dinners for two are really ... great value for money! Read more

The food is ok, the size is perfect for me to full myself though. Service is ok, I like the mango juice, but it's only a tiny cup and it take me like $3 or something, also they don't have that many flavors to offer.

Tasty food, extremely kind service. We will be back for dim sum and Peking duck!
