I love going to this location! The staff are always friendly with a beautiful smile that welcomes you. I come here so often that they already know what I like to have (Decaf Colombiano)! It is a great place to go with friends if your walking around the market.
The service was good but I personally didn't like the classic hot chocolate that I ordered very much. It was a bit cold and not sweet at all. I would recommend ordering something simpler.
Came in to buy a $7.00 worth of coffee and use the washroom. They told me that I had to pay first before they would allow me to use the washroom! My wife was in waiting in line to get service! We were dressed in a ... suit and tie! Now I understand about the vagrant issue and people wanted to use a washing for free but, really!!! Suit and Tie , all dressed up, come on. May I suggest more than one employee be hired. Read more
I'm not one to write a google review but felt strongly about this and have been meaning to for a while... A couple of weeks ago 2 girlfriends and I had wandered into this coffee shop after having a really nice lunch in the market and were completely thrown off by ... the service that it was actually a damper on our outing. It was really just one of the girls (brown hair with messy top bun) who was working there who had an awful attitude and seemed to be treating every customer badly. When it got to our turn in line she simply stared at me with a blank/annoyed face and didn't say anything, I hesitated because I didn't know she was ready for my order but then ordered when I realized she wasn't going to give any indication. I ordered a London Fog, she punched it in and I noticed the price was higher than it had been so I mentioned to my friend, "Oh, that's kind of expensive I guess the prices must have gone up." (Let me reiterate that this was with me turned to my friend and not directed at her)..... anyway, she scoffed loudly and quipped, "YA WELL, that's what happens when people are tired of being underpaid and minimum wage goes up!" then she threw my change in my hand so that I dropped some and quickly turned and walked away. Of course, it wasn't simply what she said but the manner in which she said it, which was meant to be a jab at me, to make me feel bad, and as if I couldn't have any possible idea why the prices have gone up... Anyway, all 3 of us were very thrown off by this and we couldn't understand what we had done to deserve that kind of treatment. I should mention that both of my friends work in restaurants and in customer service in Ottawa and I have also worked in a restaurant recently. We are young, not at all disillusioned about how part-time work and minimum wage pay affect people in this society (including us!!), and were not in any way blaming or directing the comment at her. If anything we completely understand how tiring and demanding these jobs can be BUT we also understand that these are our JOBS and that when on the job there is an expectation of PROFESSIONALISM and if not that then at least simple human decency? We leave our personal issues at home, or at least don't lay it on the unassuming customer. We all agreed that we wouldn't be supporting this second cup anymore. Management may want to reconsider who/how they hire. Read more
Had white chocolate cheesecake with caramel and it was very tasty. The staff was really friendly. The only issue is that sometimes people who consume alcohol tend to enter the place and create some fuss, then the staff has to call security to escort the person out. Otherwise it ... is a comfortable and nice place to hang out with friends. Read more
