The Barley Mow - Ottawa, Ontario

I had not been to the Barley mow in a while. Their menu has changed and I’m not sure I really like it. My husband ordered fish and chips and I had the chicken wrap. Both were very good. However, the waitresses spent more time talking between themselves ... than paying attention to the patrons. It was 7 p.m and the place was almost empty whereas when we go to the Royal Oak on March Rd., the place is always hopping. There is a camaraderie there not only between the wait staff and patrons but also between the patrons. Really nice place with inside and outside court yard dining. A large selection of craft beers, a good selection of burgers, fish n chips and other food. The staff is very friendly and attentive and reasonably priced

Onion rings are delicious 😋 the Greek salad I recently had was not so good. Some raw veggies felt like rotten.

Went on a Sunday with my family. The kids (2) ate free with mine and my husband's order, which was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. The fish and chips and kale slaw were GREAT. 10/10 recommend. We'll be back.

Stopped by to meet an old friend and had their butter chicken. Man was it good, spiced but not to the point of burning, tender and just a simple good combination of flavor and texture. Service was amazing too!
