Pub 101 - Ottawa, Ontario

It's a charming small pub that me and my grandparents went to as the other places around were a bit pricier lucky us we arrived on a Monday to the all you can eat wings special and very nice staff Pros of the food It was good portion the prices weren't too ... bad and it was delicious leaving me craving more (the BBQ wings were the best I left no meat on the bones) Cons of the food It was a decent wait for the wings and the food was quite greecy Pros of the service The waitress we got was very friendly welcoming us to sit anywhere with a huge grin and would check up on us quite a few times even with the place busy Cons of the service Our waitress made a mistake with telling us the fish and chips had two pieces of fish which was not the case (I forgot to take a photo of the food for reference which makes me sad) One thing that really stuck with me was the washrooms they were hard to find and when I got down I didn't know which gendered washroom I was in luckily no one was there so no worries but it didn't look all that pleasant either Read more

Went for Monday wing night- not only over priced but some of the worst wings I have ever had. Leathery and dry, like biting into a piece of jerky or a mouthful of grease, like flipping a coin of yuck. Understaffed, but although I felt bad for our waiter, the ... members of my table maybe got two correct orders of wings each, the rest she simply sadly shrugged and would place down despite being the wrong flavour. Beers above average but on par with Byward Market prices these days. Honestly the quality of the chicken is still upsetting my stomach, if you want a wing night there are so many better spots in Ottawa. Read more

Been a verrry long time since I've been here and we came at an unfamiliar time of day (day time :D). Decided to sit on the huge patio and was not disappointed! Nice late afternoon sun! Our server was fantastic and friendly! Food was really good as well! Chicken ... fingers and fish and chips were super fresh and tasty! It's a good place to hangout at with friends or even by yourself. I like the atmosphere which is always a little different. Sometimes there's a really nice DJ playing some regular music and sometimes it's a game showing on the screen. I like how small and cozy it feels ... like any local pub. Read more

Had the pleasure of making a stop in at Pup 101. The prices are excellent, and portions are perfect, not giant, not too small. The atmosphere is excellent with nice live music on some nights. It's 3 floors and fun.
