$50 with a mandatory tip from 18% to 25% for a 1 fish & chip and 2 beers. They don't A/C the place at all. The repeat music is way too loud, you are literally yelling to have your friends hear you and this is at 6:30pm, not live band ... time. The staff are... how do I say this nicely, not worth an 18% tip on a $50 of over priced pub food. Do these people know how much someone has to work to afford a $50 + 18% mandatory tip who isn't working in tech land or at the Heart and Crown? Last time I visit. It's been years and I won't miss it. The Royal Oak is still reliably good and reasonably priced in comparison. They're not as full of themselves as this disappointing dump. Read more

The greatest thing about this place is the level of service. Our server was constantly checking up on us for drinks and clearing plates. The atmosphere was great for a lunch outing with coworkers. It's a very spacious restaurant, but sound doesn't echo everywhere. Unfortunately, I don't have much praise for ... the food. Was passing by and decided to have fish and chips. It was really amazing on the taste and serving size as we added CAD 9 for an extra piece of fish. There was no pressure to order things quickly. Quiet ambience. We waited a bit for the food but it’s ... still good. Read more

I've always had great experiences here. My favorite is a delicious pint of Guinness and poutine with pulled brisket. Friendly staff and cozy interior make every visit unforgettable.

The food was good! I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for a very slow service. I wasn't sure if they were missing some employees because it was a holiday when we dined in but we didn't get our food in a reasonable time. We had to ... wait 45 minutes and the second order of drinks came after we finished our food. We also had to wait long to pay because the server didn't bring the debit machine right away. On the other hand, the food was good. My daughter and I ordered Brisket Melt Sandwich with fries and we liked it. It was flavourful and the meat was so tender. Love their fries. My husband ordered the Pineapple Jerk Chicken Sandwich which he also liked. All in all it was a good food experience but not good service experience. Read more
