Bowman’s Bar & Grill - Ottawa, Ontario

We strayed from our norm and forwent the classic fries and garlic dipping sauce, to try a southern style chicken sandwich with a side of salad plus a donair poutine (a non-menu item). What's nice is you know that care was put into each dish. The flavours of our particular items ... weren't out of this world, but we were more than satisfied. Good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. The fries that came with it were cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. The lady who works here was also really funny and pleasant 😂. Looks like a nice place to get together ... with some friends and watch a hockey game. Big patio setup outside the restaurant too with a tent. The only problem is there isn't much parking available, so get there early if you want to guarantee yourself a spot! Read more

I was in Ottawa for a few day’s vacation, after visiting a local museum I was looking for a dinner spot. Bowman’s came up as rated excellent , and it was on the way back to my hotel so I stopped for an early dinner. There was only one other ... customer, so the service and meal were very quick. Bowman's is where quality shines. It's a laid back, relaxed pub with a small menu of pub classics. But this place is definitely a matter of quality over quantity. Everything they have they do exceedingly well. They offer specials in addition to their menu items, as well as different desserts. The ... staff are fantastic. They always greet you like you're an old friend and their attentive service makes you feel like you're important to them. The bathrooms are small but are always clean and well stocked. Craving Satisfied!!! It's been awhile that I've been craving for nachos! And thanks to my dear husband he found this restaurant! The nachos is the best So fully loaded.
