One of my absolute favourite Ottawa stores to get treats. You can tell that they use quality ingredients and everything tastes fresh and homemade. Have tried most of their desserts by now and would highly recommend the lemon cheesecake, lemon/milk tarts, blueberry sour cream tart, high jinx cookies, sticky buns ... and their dream bars. There are so many beautiful cakes and cupcakes here. In fact, I was looking for a gluten free cake for a friend's birthday, and I chose this cake because it was a belgium chocolate mousse cake, a product made without flour. This place is awesome. Everything you could want from a tiny little local bakery. Everything looks. amazing and tastes as good as it looks. Great selection of little $2-3 pastries to mix and bring to a friends place or picnic or something. Legit the best.
Three Tarts Bakeshop is an institution in Ottawa. They are my favourite bakery in the city, bar none. They are my go-to for cakes, tarts and pies so I thought they would be the perfect addition to the dessert table at our wedding. We reached out to Emily at Three Tarts ... to pick an array of desserts, including homemade tarts, chocolate-covered marshmallows, cookies, and macaroons that stayed in our budget and arrange delivery to our venue the morning of our wedding. Although we didn’t get to try the desserts on the night of, we heard from our guests that they were delicious and the empty dessert table at the end of the night spoke volumes.
