"Last great Szechuan chef in Ottawa Ontario and area"! Period! I have gone two other locations throughout the city of Ottawa, including Chinatown area, and Guo Qaing (chefs name) is the last great Szechuan Chef in Ottawa, in my opinion. He and his wife Lily have operated this ... particular location for over 20 years plus. I have known them for over 15 plus years and I can vouch that the Szechuan Chinese food prepared here is the best in Ottawa - opposed to the zillion of Mandarin type restaurants throughout Ottawa, which there are very very many of. This restaurant stands out distinctively for it's Szechuan type cuisine. Lily and her husband operate the restaurant fully by themselves now and I would definitely recommend giving this place a try because it won't be there forever! Definitely recommend the amazing "General Tao's Chicken", "Mu Shu chicken", their Hot and Sour soup is excellent, and many others! Please find attached pictures from their yummy "Take-out menu" ! Great service! Delicious food, has Wong tong soup, and the mi noodles and wing was so delicious. Definitely will be going back!

I have been going to this restaurant since I moved to Ottawa in 1998. I've gone out of my way to experience Chinese food all over our country and around the world 20+ countries. Chinese food is prepared differently every where. Overall I have not had better ... "Chinese" food any where else in my 55 years. Their food is not cooked from frozen packages, has no msg and is quite flavourful. I would gladly pay twice what they charge for their lunch buffet. If you eat there in the evening you will be surprised at the quality of food you get when you sit down and eat in the restaurant. I go outof my way to take new friends there to sample this food. Decent Chinese takeout. Bland for Szechuan. The noodle dishes are good, as well as the soups. The meat dishes are what you would expect from most Chinese restaurants that cater to western pallets.
