My favourite sushi takeout joint in Ottawa! The sushi is always made fresh and the staff always greet me with a friendly tone. The place is clean and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I place my orders online for pick-up and my food is ready for me for a speedy hand ... off everytime. They have an efficient system and their ingredients taste fresh. I always include custom instructions on a couple rolls, and they always make them 100% correct everytime. not great. I ordered the salmon teriyaki summer bento box for $29 with tax and 10% tip. it also comes with 6 pieces of cucumber roll not pictured. it's ok i guess just so expensive. not worth it. the zucchini tempura was sliced very thick and kind of gross

I recently visited Sushi Village for their all-you-can-eat buffet, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite the lack of crowd, the service was excruciatingly slow. Orders took forever to arrive, and when they did, they were often incorrect. We ordered vegetable dumplings but received shrimp dumplings instead. Additionally, ... several items we had requested were missing, requiring multiple reminders to the staff. By the time everything arrived, it was doubled, leading to us having to eat more than what we had originally ordered. The most uncomfortable part of the evening came when we attempted to tidy up our table by stacking some dishes where one piece of sushi was placed on top. Who we assumed was the manager made a scene over that single piece of leftover sushi, insisting we couldn't waste food, and even took it off the dish pile and placed it in front of me. He made a scene, insisting that we couldn't waste food and threatening to charge us for it. His approach was embarrassing and unnecessary. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable before and never have I ever dealt with such a situation at a sushi restaurant before. I immediately just asked for the bill because my appetite was ruined and I just wanted to go home. Luckily the waitress was nice and assured us we would not be charged extra for that single piece of sushi we didn’t eat. Overall, the combination of poor service, incorrect orders, and the unpleasant encounter with the manager left me deeply disappointed and embarrassed. Absolutely love the freshness and selection of food at this location! Could be updated a little bit but over all very clean and staff is very attentive and mindful. I order all the time and would do all you can eat more often if it wasn’t so pricy.
