Not fine dining, nor does it claim to be. Good food at a good price with great service. I am quite satisfied. If you want gourmet fastidiousness or foodie authenticity, go elsewhere. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and it reminded me of being back in Japan which is more than ... enough to justify 5 stars and an eagerness to return. Thanks! Read more
This is my new favorite restaurant in Ottawa. The people working there are awesome and super friendly. I love the food. I love the green tea. They cook infront of you trying really hard to make the experience very fun for everyone. I am very glad I went to this place. ... Now Im a regular customer there. This restaurant is a lot of fun - service is fantastic and I think the 'retro' faux-Asian decor is awesome. Great for kids or for groups that want a more relaxed atmosphere. Clearly not for foodie snobs, though I'm not sure what the 1star review guy was expecting from a ... restaurant in a mini-mall across the street from a Canadian Tire... the food certainly isn't bad but if a truly gourmet experience is all you care about when you walk through the door then you are missing the point with this place. It is quite friendly place and nice people are working at this place. Consistently checking if you need something or your glass is half empty. They are cooking most food in front of you with some type of small show during this preparation process. It is really good and fresh food ... which also could be considered traditional Japanese cuisine. Price perspective is not cheap and not expensive for this type food and show, it is normal or average price which is worth it. Interior could be slightly better decorated but, place is clean and I can definitely recommend at least visit once for your personal experiences. You could be surprise. Read more
