Jumbo Restaurant - Ottawa, Ontario

Ordered in and got some Chow Mein, spicy crispy wings, crispy beef and general tao's chicken. I also got 1 open ended eggroll and 1 closed egg roll. The chow mein was pretty good, I ended up ordering the wrong type, but that's my own fault. Still was very tasty with a ... good variety of ingredients both protein wise and veggie wise. The crispy wings tasted good, but I didn't find them spicy, and I didn't find them particularly crispy, either. They were kind of soggy in some places, since they packed it with a bunch of shredded veggies. Not bad, but probably wouldn't order again. The general tao's & crispy beef were both pretty standard and typical, no complaints about it, it's exactly what I want and expect from this kind of Chinese restaurant. I found the eggrolls weren't my favorite, the filling just didn't really do it for me. It wasn't bad, I just found it kind of bland. Portion sizes all around were about average, so no complaints there either. All around though, a pretty decent Chinese restaurant. I'd definitely consider ordering from them again in the future. I’ve been ordering from Jumbo for years honestly never once disappointed. The owners are super nice and always gave the same great service. The food quality is top notch, the restaurant is super clean! I highly recommend jumbo for their amazing dishes!!

Had the wonton soup and hot and sour soup, unfortunately the lettuce in the wonton was dirty and tastes as if its rotten which makes the whole soup taste the same. Very disappointed.

Absolutely delicious food! We ordered quite a few items for our group. The Shanghai noodles, tom yum, dumplings, fried rice, egg rolls. Just delicious. Every dish was delicious.

This has been a favourite ever since I moved to Blackburn in 2011. I took a break for a while because the food was getting overly oily, but since the pandemic I tried it again and WOW. The quality is always perfect now and so delicious. Also appreciate the ... good service and hard work while they experience heavier demands due to the massive power outages after the storm. Today's choices were Singapore noodles (the best I've ever tasted) and sweet and sour pork. Fantastic! Read more
