The Brig Eatery & Pub - Ottawa, Ontario

We were delighted to visit Ottawa and found this restaurant. The environment was nice, and the food was decent. However, we were served by an extremely impatient female waitress with blonde hair that seemed to be dyed with some purple. She had a noticeable figure, but her manners were not ... as impressive. The entire ordering process was very quick and impatient. When I asked her what she meant, she rudely walked away saying we were wasting her time. Her attitude made us feel like she might be living a miserable life. We are not sure if she got our order right. As two Asians, we have traveled to many beautiful countries around the world, and until tonight, we had a good impression of Canadians. Nice little spot, the bartender is skilled with probably the best presented bourbon sour I have seen. Food was limited but good. Prices fair for Byward area. Music a bit loud - you couldn’t carryon a conversation after 9.

To start we were seated very quickly in a lovely spot with a cute view. The atmosphere was comfortable and classy. Our order was taken and we did have to wait a little longer than expected for the food. However, the wait was 100% worth it. I ordered the thai ... salmon and it was AMAZING. It was wonderful, the salmon fell apart perfectly and the sauce was smooth and creamy. My friends ordered the Cob salad, which was reportedly very fresh and full of flavour; and the fish and chips, which paired very nicely with the tartar sauce. Beautiful pub downtown Ottawa. Service was excellent, so was the food. We had the French onion soup, the lamb shepherd pie and the chicken sandwich. Prices were decent. Will go again.

We had a great experience at the Brig Pub. We came here for dinner, were seated snd served right away. The food and service are spectacular. We had french onion soup as a starter and then the fish and chips and crispy chicken sandwich. I highly recommend those, they tasted ... soooo good! Definitely coming back! Read more
