My favorite local bar! Awesome food for the price, the staff is super friendly and you can tell they appreciate their customers. My boyfriend and I come here on a weekly basis, love it. Nice patio and pool table, $20 buckets of beer, can't get any better!

Since going to Links once, I have returned minimum once a week for either wing night or burger night. The value for a meal and pint is unbeatable, and the food is always fresh, well made, and super cheap. The service is quick and couldn't be friendlier either. I like this place, most items are $6 and they have a $10 food and drink deal. I normally eat there with my girlfriend and we share 2 $10 food and drink deals with an extra $6 item. Our bill is $26 before tax which is pretty good and we ... leave full. The only problem with this place is poor air circulation as it seems to get stuffy inside there sometimes but I put up with it due to the good food and low price. I spent a month in downtown Ottawa just off Rideau street and visited Link's numerous times. actually almost daily. In fact it often became my office away from home (very responsive WIFI). Its a great place to relax be it on their great patio or an inside booth. ... Food is great, with very good and economical specials everyday. And you cannot beat their weekend breakfasts and believe me I tried several breakfast restaurants up and down Rideau Street from King Edward right through Vanier. And for about $6 you cannot beat their burger and smoke meat sandwich, as I continue to work through their menu. Service (owners and staff) are equally wonderful, relaxed and cheery. If your visiting, Joe gladly answers almost any question you may have. BTW if your there, two doors down there is also a great Pawn Shop which has a wide, interesting and eclectic collection of all sorts goods (great for musicians) and its only two steps away so you can drop by during your smoke break. My only unreasonable wish is if they could just drop the price of their glass of house wine down from $6.50 to maybe $5.50 so that after taxes and tips I could have more. But that is picking at the edges as even at $6.50 they are quite competitive with most licensed restaurants/pubs in Ottawa. Read more

I really enjoy Links, in an age of very average service, their service is exceptional! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and you can often find a booth available! (a real plus in my books!) The menu and drink selection is also better than expected in a typical pub. And the ... food and drink menu is often updated to reflect changing trends. Food quality is exceptional and judging by the taste and presentation, the chef appears to actually be a real chef! A hard find these days. Overall a favorite stop of mine when in Ottawa.
