KFC - Ottawa, Ontario

Pretty rough looking building on the inside. They're really working with what they can - there's tiles missing and sitting on the floor. Everything is chipped, faded or otherwise not in good condition. Some walls just have plastic boards covering whatever may be underneath. The bathroom is just as bad. I ... wouldn't tough anything with a 10 foot pole but of course I had to hit the rusty (I hope) Light switch and door knob. A man was moping with dirty, black water while the store was full of customers, just asking them to move a bit then move back onto the wet floor so he could finish. Not gonna lie, it didn't smell the best and was unappetizing. All the food was good tasting but difficult to order unless you're there yourself. No valid debit card will ever work with online order, save your time, there's a reason it's 1 star on app stores. Wasted 10 minutes trying then just used the same card that wasn't working to order inside, and I tried a few cards and paypal. I'd rather support them than uber eats since they profit more but come on.. I just deleted the app since I can't order food thru it regardless. Read more

When I walked in the cashier was friendly. I decided to leave a tip. I was not impressed to see the cashier take that $5 and slip it into her pocket. Not something that should be done when working as a team. Then I noticed one of the gentlemen in ... the back wearing slides and not appropriate shoes. Really not impressed. What is this? It tastes like KFC but it does not look like KFC. I think KFC’s identity was stolen by Felix. Enough about the food, now about the service. My interaction with the cashier was great until the manager interrupted the service. The one time, he raised ... his voice and said something to the cashier. He did apologize but he then interrupted the service once again. I feel this was disrespectful and inappropriate at the time. Overall, I am not happy with the food quality and aside from the cashier, I wouldn’t recommend the place. I would however recommend that you take your well earned cash and precious time and spend it at a chicken place that will not cheat you out of a respectful experience or decent food, as this place has neither. This is the only KFC in this town. During the pandemic the food quality was really bad and the opening hours were short and inconsistent. There were times the chicken were not edible because they were burnt or way too salty. I wonder if there is new management. The chicken now ... is tasty and the pieces are bigger. We went there a lot so I’ve decided to leave a review. This time we tried the 2 for TWOsday. For $2 you get 2 chicken drumsticks or 2 tenders. They are ok. For $1 more we get some fries. KFC stops serving the regular fries. We can only get the new seasoned fries. I don’t like them. I’m disappointed. Seasoned fries are way too salty. Read more

I am not a big fan of this particular KFC location. I visited yesterday with my kids to grab some chicken for a quick dinner. First of all, the place itself looked like it needed a thorough clean. Second, the service was subpar. It took several minutes for someone to ... acknowledge my presence in the restaurant and take my order, as they were busy with drive-through and delivery orders. I was told I had to wait for about 5 minutes for the chicken to prepare, but I ended up waiting for more than 10 minutes. There was no apology offered. When I got home, I realized that they did not put any ketchup or napkins in my order. The chicken was good though. I will continue enjoying KFC but I will probably not visit this particular location if I have a choice. Read more
