Fat Tuesdays - Ottawa, Ontario

Slow service, in fact, we had to keep asking for everything (drinks, cutlery, where our food was, where are the sides, the bill...). The food was mediocre at best. The chicken was 90% breading, and for their "signature dish", it was no where near as tasty as it ... should have been - lacking salt and seasoning. The food was OK, the portions were generous. Granted that I came at a busy time but the service was not great to say the least. It took a while for the server to come by with menus and longer still to take our order or to bring it. Also ... the place was very loud, and the live music was so-so. Finally the menu was quite limited and other than jambalaya there's little in it that's creole cuisine. I'd avoid it, especially since there are many other better restaurants nearby. Read more

Everytime I come here the service is really great! Loved the coconut shrimp and my all time favorite Mac and cheese! Waitress and host were super friendly as always. The food is awesome and comes out very hot! Nothing but good words about this place.

I went in today for my first time at a Fat Tuesdays. Kelly was my waitress. She was one of the best waitresses Ive ever had. She was friendly and attentive. Kelly pointed out the vegetarian options for me with recommendations. The meal I chose was the bechemel dip with ... mushrooms, spinach and artichoke hearts with deep fried pita. It was delicious, hot and on time. She made me feel welcome, and was very professional. She even read my mind that I needed some more napkins. Overall a great experience. I will be back. Came here on a Wednesday for dinner, sat out on the patio. Service: Waitress was friendly, service was a bit on the slow side. Food: Their chicken penne small size was huge for $12, and according to my friends it was tasty too! I got the small mac&cheese with bacon for the ... same price, and was not as delighted.
