Reviews for Salai Thai Cuisine in Ottawa, Ontario
Idk man... Not great: we went in the evening and it was so gloomy inside, half of the room kept in the dark, the service was okay but the food was very mediocre, mine came in a completely busted and chipped dish and my partner seems to have food ... poisoning from a cashew dish. I didn't take picture but it wasn't very appealing. From their other reviews it seems like takeout is very risky here, but I feel like eating there in person during the evening was just off too. Might seem silly but I think the owners should take a good look at how it feels to eat in there, replace the broken dish, the dirty tablecloth, and get some proper warm lighting. Read more
Takeout food is horrible! Both taste and quality. They deliver 4 meals and I couldnt eat any. All went to garbage. Dont waste your money
I could not eat my dinner. Tasteless, meat was tough and chewy. Noodles overcooked and soggy. Spring rolls dripping in oil. Extremely disappointed!! There are much better Thai restaurants in Ottawa.
Very nice Thai restaurant, well decorated, comfortable atmosphere. A bit hard to find but it’s there. Staff is very friendly and polite. Place is clean. Great choice of food. My fried rice was a little greasy, next time I’ll try the curry dishes. Big can of Sapporo beer was $8, ... reasonable. Read more
The sun will rise every morning, I will run over a pothole on my commute, and I will order Pad Thai at a Thai restaurant; these things I know to be true. This was no exception as I selected the Nikolai classic of a ginger ale and one of my ... favourite dishes. We ate at this round table and it was a meeting of the minds if not a meeting of Pad Thai because we were all craving the peanuty dish. And? It ruled. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff lovely, a great dinner indeed Read more
